The dining atmosphere embraces an inviting, laid-back aloha spirit. Guests enjoy their meals outside, with views of sparkling waters just steps away. As Jae Choe fondly recalls, “Food service and atmosphere was excellent... The fish and chips were excellent and highly recommend.” Though the open setting can get a bit warm, it only adds to the island authenticity—dining under the Hawaiian sun or stars creates a sensory experience that feels both relaxing and invigorating.
Mitch Wilder’s praise for the “catch of the day” Onaga snapper with shrimp and taro potatoes highlights the kitchen’s commitment to freshness and balance—each dish cooked “to perfection” with flavors that impress even the most discerning palates. Meanwhile, Jennifer King’s enjoyment of the three-course meal paired with cocktails underscores Seascape Maalaea’s outstanding value and culinary artistry in a prime beachfront location.
Whether you’re stopping by after exploring the nearby Maui Ocean Center or seeking a memorable meal with friends or family, Seascape Maalaea Restaurant delivers an unforgettable encounter with island cuisine. As Jenn Gray expressed it, “Sitting outside right by the water it was Soo good! Definitely will go there again when I'm back on Maui!”
From the first bite to the last sip, Seascape Maalaea offers a genuine Hawaiian dining experience where every dish tells a story of fresh ocean bounty, island tradition, and heartfelt hospitality.
Food service and atmosphere was excellent, was a bit on the warm side since the restaurant is outdoors. The fish and chips were excellent and highly recommend.
Was recommended after our helicopter tours. Stop at the Maui Ocean Center. It is attached to the aquarium. Ordered rhe Canada's (Cathch of the day) which was Onaga (snapper) with shrimp and taro potatoes. It was amazing. We also ordered the tempura lobster tail. Different but still excellent. All the food was cooked to perfection! I'm not a shrimp fan but these were cooked perfectly! Our server Caysha was extremely nice and helpful. Food came out quick. It is outdoor seating so you have to deal with flies and birds and an occasional chicken but it did not take away from the experience. Decently priced for the quality of the food. We really enjoyed everything about this place! Highly recommended for service, taste, and view!
We did the $35 3 course meal offered when buying our aquarium tickets and it was really great food. I didn't know what to expect but the dish we had was top notch, one of the best meals we have had here. I think the value for what we paid was really good! A lot of people complaining about the pricing, but you're on a beach front restaurant in Maui, not sure what people expect. Also had a cocktail which was delicious and really reasonable. Highly recommend the 3 course meal option!
Had the fresh catch of the day fish sandwich, it was absolutely incredible! Also, the purple rain adult beverage was delicious and came in a really cute tiki cup! Sitting outside right by the water it was Soo good! Definitely will go there again when I'm back on Maui!
I had the Friday special with pork and Auahi so good my wife had the plantation burger.
Great food, fabulous service and even better views. What more can you want? The portion sizes are impressive and the flavors even more so.
